We would like to thank you for your business with Virpus Networks!  For 6 years now, Virpus customers have enjoyed exceptional VPS services at very reasonable price points.  In order to keep our costs down, we will be making a change to services being offered to you.

Effective May 1, 2012, Virpus will discontinue including automated backup services to all OpenVZ VPS customers.  Currently, Xen and Windows plans do not include backups.  Instead, we will have a backup service being offerred starting at just $5/mo that you will be able to take advantage of effective May 1, 2012.

This decision was made simply because we are unable to fully support the current backup system that we utilize, which was developed by a third party vendor.  We feel the best way to offer backups to our customers will be to have it self-managed which has been adapted by many other VPS providers as well.

We do apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you, but we believe this is the best course of action given the current method of backups.  Should you have any questions regarding this, feel free to open a ticket with the Administrative department.  If you wish to add on backup services, please open a ticket with sales after May 1.
